Elise Walking Away II

Elise - alone but not lonely. Is she curious or critical? A fish-out-of-water comfortable anywhere, whether in the vastness of nature or the claustrophobia of an industrial area.

This project became our great passion, one that continued on nearly every trip we went on for over twenty years. It made traveling together both wonderful and challenging, especially in national parks where most people were wearing Easter-colored hiking clothes and she was in this backcountry-inappropriate all black costume, which is sometimes, but only slightly, embarrassing for her.
